Privacy policy

This policy explains in plain language what information may be processed when you use this portfolio, why it is processed, and what choices you have.

Information you provide

The contact form does not submit anything to the website’s server. It prepares an email in your mail application. Carodak receives your name, email address, and message only if you then choose to send that email. This information is used to respond to your request and, where relevant, discuss a collaboration.

Data stored on your device

The site uses browser local storage to remember music volume and session storage to temporarily preserve playback position and status during your visit. These preferences remain on your device and are not sent to Carodak. The site does not use advertising or analytics tools.

Hosting and external services

As with any website, the hosting provider may process technical data such as your IP address, browser, requested pages, and security logs to deliver and protect the site. Some projects embed YouTube media or link to external websites. Those third parties may receive technical data and apply their own cookies and policies when their content is loaded or opened.

Disclosure and retention

Personal information is not sold or used for advertising. It may be processed by the email provider, hosting provider, and external services you choose to use, or disclosed where required by law. Email correspondence is retained only as long as useful to reply, follow up, or meet a legal obligation. Some providers may process data outside Quebec or Canada.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by Carodak, or withdraw consent where applicable. Email hello@carodak.com. This is also the contact address for the person responsible for privacy.

Security and changes

Reasonable measures are used to protect personal information, but no transmission or storage method is perfectly secure. Material changes to this policy will be posted here with a new update date.
